Verdict
This is not the strongest maiden to have ever been staged here and the connections of Sun Of Speed will be disappointed if they cannot recoup the first installment on his 80,000 euros purchase price. Ballyboro hails from a yard that know the time of day and a move for the daughter of Entrepreneur will be interesting - whereas Elshadi, a half-brother to Highdown, will also be expected to be paying his way sooner rather than later. However, Sun Of Speed, who ran very green before his stamina gave way on his debut at Goodwood, can be expected to be a lot wiser as to what is required of him this time around. He is ideally situated if there is an extended bias from the draw to this trip and it will be surprising if Amanda Perrett's charge does not rid himself off the maiden tag today.
