Verdict

BATAL ZABEEL ran better than his finishing position at Sandown suggests and some of his earlier endeavours have worked out well from a formbook perspective. Midnight Lir is a recent winner over course and distance though the handicapper has raised him 4lb for that success 11 days ago. Lady Nunthorpe has a first try in a nursery having raced keenly in previous starts here while Alfa Moonstone is at her best on genuinely fast ground and we can expect to see her dictating terms from the stalls.
