Verdict
Ruth Carr’s team have begun to creep back into form and SPANISH ANGEL (NAP) could be the answer to this competitive affair despite needing to reverse Ripon form with Latin Five. Van Gerwen proved himself no back number when prevailing at Pontefract and he remains well treated in relation to the marks he was running off last year. Nautical Dream has his first try at handicapping and has had wind surgery since we last saw him. Emeralds Pride has proven generally reliable while The Grey Lass won this race last year and put up an encouraging effort at Musselburgh on her latest outing.
