Verdict
POET’S SOCIETY was caught in the closing stages and beaten less than a length attempting to make all at Musselburgh last time. No doubt the same tactics will be employed from stall one today and could prove successful this time. Nottingham winner Private Matter failed to cope under a penalty last time and makes his handicap bow but stablemate Boundsy went close in a nursery at Chester. Diable d'Or was well beaten in a handicap before landing a maiden at Chepstow but Sir Viktor won his maiden over track and trip, beating Harbour Lightning, and is only upped 4lb.
