A low grade event where GOWER DIVA makes appeal given that this is her first run in a handicap and she has a high draw. A well bred individual, she has shown a little bit of pace although patently hasn't stayed the seven furlongs that they have tried over in maidens. The assessor has put up a mark of 50 and David Nicholls can have few complaints. Oondiri has performed well in plating events lately and with due respect to the race sponsors, this race is little better than that. Kalahari Desert is off an interesting handicap mark and is worthy of closer consideration in the market. Lees Anthem, who is from a very speedy damline, won at Ayr earlier in the week and the handicapper can only add a 6lb penalty for those labours. Point To Prove has yet to return to the form exhibited for Amy Weaver and has dropped in the handicap accordingly.
