Verdict

Oracle looked a nice prospect on his first two starts on ground with some give in the spring and probably just needed the run at the Curragh last week. He can do better but Johnny Murtagh has chosen the once-raced Park Avenue, who is presumably the stable pick despite a moderate opening run back in May. Expire showed good pace when just touched off by Truly Genius at Dundalk and looks certain to get involved from the start, especially with Kieren Fallon booked, but Anam Allta has a stayers' pedigree and was going on at the finish over 7f at Naas. There are some interesting newcomers engaged including Jim Bolger's filly Lisa Gherardini, a half-sister to the useful Rakaan, and David Wachman's LARGHETTO, a daughter of Giant's Causeway out of a mare from a very high-class USA family. The Goolds Cross handler won the race last year and this one may be good enough to make a winning start.
