Several of these ran well in this a year ago with Worldly Wise, Barack and Separate Ways all involved in a tight finish. However, the ground was very testing that day and conditions will be very different here. Luca Cumani doesn't waste time sending his horses on fool's errands so the hat-trick seeking Start Right, who looked very useful when scoring comfortably at Goodwood, must be a threat despite a 10lb rise. Prince Jock is a progressive youngster who can go well despite rising in the weights while Richard Fahey is dually represented and Johnny Murtagh's booking for Spring Mile winner Irish Heartbeat is eye-catching. Dermot Weld also runs a pair and there is no doubting the credentials of both Rock Critic and UNACCOMPANIED. Pat Smullen has chosen the latter who is making her handicap debut and by the way she beat the 90-rated Alsalwa at Killarney suggests she has a very bright future.
