Verdict

BROUGHTON cost 220,000euros and is the first foal of a top-class sprinter in France. His trainer won this race in 2010 and the Godolphin colt won't have to be anything special to score on his debut. Sadfig is also worth noting on his first start along with the half-brother to three winners, He's A Striker. Emperatriz finished runner-up over 6f at Haydock last time and has yet to encounter fast ground while it was also soft going at Musselburgh when Excellent Mariner finished a creditable third on her debut. Linguine failed to show any progress in better company at Newbury last time but is another who may do better on today's faster surface.
