In depth

Verdict

Glenora Gale was beaten over 30l into second spot at Wetherby last time by the unconsidered Harrys Whim but subsequent events have shown the form to be no fluke. Previously, Lucinda Russell's charge went well when third to Pickworth at Aintree in fair handicap company and has strong claims. However, TEKTHELOT may represent a better option as he looks sure to handle the trip after staying on well to claim fourth place last time in a valuable and competitive Cartmel handicap. The Reveley charge has been highly consistent and deserves some reward. Ballade De La Mer has shown nothing on the level the last twice but had revealed promise when last seen over timber in the spring and is not discounted.
