Verdict

Pour La Victoire bids for a hat-trick of course and distance wins raised 5lb. Lightning Charlie returned to winning ways here last time while Compas Scoobie went close over 5f at Newmarket last week but was due to run at Sandown yesterday. Bernie's Boy won at Windsor before struggling in a higher grade sprint at the same track but HART STOPPER also drops in class today and racing off a similar mark as when landing a Class 2 contest at Yarmouth earlier, Stuart Williams’ charge gets the nod to go close again.
