In depth

Verdict

In the opener, Going Straight gets the nod over Bahama Mama and Proper. The form of Bahama Mama's Newmarket win is reasonable enough, certainly in the context of this race, and she can go well although, taking literal Bridge It Jo form, Going Straight has the beating of her, although that form is Kempton all-weather form. However, we will stick with the fom book. Paul Cole's 41,000 guineas purchase Daring You is an interesting newcomer, but Pires might be done for toe over this trip so his stable companion, Pires, a decent third at Yarmouth three days ago, might be a better proposition. That said, overall, the vote stays with Going Straight.
