In depth
Verdict
Although Arrayou paid his way over hurdles, he was always thought of as an embryonic chaser and, having performed well on his debut over fences he is fancied to cope with the step up in trip today. Manx Royal and Carthys Cross are others to place on the shortlist of contenders. Carthys Cross had bits and pieces of form over timber and comes here after a acquitting himself well at Huntingdon. The experience will have done him the power of good but he does have a bit to prove regarding the trip. Manx Royal was in the process of running a big race at when tipping up at Exeter last time. He will be in with a major shout if that incident has left nom lasting scars. However, preference goes to Arrayou, who was staying on powerfully on his chasing bow and is fancied to have too many guns for the rest near the finish.
