In depth
Verdict
Silver Visage gets a tentative vote over Beau Marche, Primed Up and Chookie Windsor to name but three. With nothing standing out here, only a speculative vote goes to Silver Visage who is at last better handicapped compared to last year, and has Brian Reilly back on board. Julia Fielden's charge was drawn high at Folkestone last time, but on that occasion it was the near side group that came out on top, and this drop in grade is a plus factor in his bid to get back to winning ways. Beau March made no show on his last visit here, but had earlier won a six-furlong Leicester seller under today's pilot, and the step back up in trip is not a problem, although the fact that he has to give weight away to all bar Primed Up is. The latter has won here before, and will be more at home over this distance than when well beaten in a 10-furlong apprentice handicap on the course a fortnight ago. Chookie Windsor was not beaten far in similar company at Bath, and the market should be noted as regards the rest, with preference just for Silver Visage.
