        Verdict

        Taipan Tommy, Petana, I Wish and Polar Haze look the four to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Taipan Tommy. The selection goes well here and he lost no caste in defeat when a good third behind Caymen breeze over this course and distance last time. That looked a more competitive race than this and he looks to have a leading chance of getting his head in front tonight. Petana saves her best efforts for this trip and she was a good second behind Victoria Peek at Hamilton last time. If she can run up to her best she is entitled to plenty of respect. I Wish was a little disappointing at Warwick last time but the return to this faster surface may see him in a better light this evening. Polar Haze ran well at Catterick when last seen out but he has yet to win on the turf and for the winner we are happy to return to Taipan Tommy.
