An interesting race can go to Mr Sandicliffe, who has done very little wrong in his starts so far, and he is preferred over The Osteopath and Gallery Girl, who have both shaped up encouragingly so far. Naughty Nod also caught the eye on his debut at Catterick and he can be expected to post an improved display here. His yard have been in good form and he is worth noting in the betting market. Gallery Girl stepped up on her debut when she was third behind a couple of useful types at Thirsk when she was last seen out. She needs to continue progressing but looks capable of winning a race at some point. The Osteopath shapes as if he will handle any cut in the ground and is entitled to respect. He may also be ready for a step up in trip though. Therefore, we stick Mr Sandicliffe, whose length and a quarter defeat inflicted by subsequent Richmond Stakes winner Always Hopeful sets the standard here.
