Verdict

It's hard to be too confident given her form figures but SCARLET ROCKS is the call here ahead of Master Macho and King Of Cassis. David Evans' filly has finished second in all four starts to date but she hasn't done much wrong. Her experience should see her in a good light now trying this unique track and with the ground not an issue she can win with Richard Hughes up for the first time. King Of Cassis shaped with promise at Bath on debut and should have come on for that run; if he has learnt from running down the hill there then he should feature. Singapore Lilly looks one to keep an eye on in the betting but the yards horses tend to come on for their first outing, a comment that also applies to Jamie Osborne's horses so Kodiac Star, a cheap purchase who is related to winners at two, is opposed. Master Macho looks more interest; this Camacho colt was poor at Yarmouth last time but on his previous form he is considered, despite looking to already need a sixth furlong. Scarlet Rocks is fancied to break her maiden tag.
