Verdict
Somethingabouther showed signs of a return to form last time and is the pick over Vendors Mistake and Black Oval. There are plenty of duck-eggs on view here and this should not take too much winning. With that in mind the recent effort of Somethingabouther at Hamilton last week stands out. Peter Hiatt's filly raced prominently up the stands side and came out clear best of that group as Pirlie Hill came out on top after switching to the far rail. The selection is drawn in stall seven here but hopefully will be able to get to the rail early before delivering her challenge. Vendors Mistake is lightly raced and just recently has started to come to hand. She was a beaten favourite in apprentice company at Thirsk six days ago but was a fair third so may be good for a place at least here. Black Oval has failed to improve since making a winning debut at Salisbury a year ago and is slipping down the weights gradually. She may now be well weighted enough to be considered for a moderate affair such as this and makes more appeal than Rehia. For the winner, Somethingabouther fits the bill.
