Verdict

Nothing is discounted in a tight handicap but WAPPING may follow-up a course and distance success last month and defy topweight. He remains open to further improvement as a four-year-old after a light first two seasons and has gone the right way this term. He's only 3lb higher than when landing the first of two recent victories and is very much at home on forecast conditions. New World Power is a major danger as he too has been lightly-raced and his recent second to the solid Masterpaver at Thirsk suggests he's definitely capable of picking up a couple of handicaps. He, too, should have more to offer. Pacharana will appreciate the drop in class, Hepplewhite is consistent but finds winning hard and Cape Discovery and General Hazard need to put modest latest runs behind them as both failed to beat a rival when last seen.
