WORLD RECORD posted a better effort when second in a higher grade at Lingfield and that bodes well for his chances here given he won this race last year off today’s mark. Papou Tony has yet to win on Turf but has scored off higher marks on the all-weather while Spiritual Star is another who prefers artificial surfaces having won just the once on Turf in 27 attempts. The Firm went close at Yarmouth in between his more usual modest efforts but the remainder are even harder to fancy.
