Verdict

MELABI returned to winning ways stepped up to 1m4f at Thirsk last time and there should be more to come from Richard Ford’s charge over today’s distance. Light Of Air made a winning start when trained in Germany in 2015 but hasn’t won since and the handicapper refuses to budge. Spirit Of The Vale has won twice over 1m2f at Newcastle this year while Pearly Prince was not beaten far when only fifth over 1m4f at Lingfield on his penultimate start.
