Verdict

BAHIA STAR was sent off favourite over a mile here on her reappearance and handicap debut. She duly returned a clear winner and there should be more to come from Rae Guest’s filly this year. River Wharfe placed over track and trip back in April and the winner has gone in again subsequently. He’s preferred to Otago, who has been thereabouts at the track recently, though No Day Never may finish closer with blinkers applied for the first time.
