Verdict
A wide open handicap here and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Forge Lane, City General and Semelle de Vent and the tentative vote goes to City General. The selection was disappointing behind Danifa last time out but tat was on very soft ground and with the step up in trip sure to suit he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Forge Lane rates the main danger on his best form but he was very disappointing behind Kirkham Abbey last time and although this is much easier he is far from consistent so can not be backed with any confidence. Semelle de Vent is another worthy of respect as she is from a top yard and is one of the least exposed in the field and showed improved form to be second behind Piquet last time out. Of the remainder Cobalt Blue is from a yard in form but looks weighted to the hilt. Of the remainder Go Green won well last time out but will find it harder under a penalty and for the winner we return to City General.
