Another race hard to get too excited about and the tentative vote goes to Certain Justice ahead of Torquemada and Memphis Man. Memphis Man managed fourth place on Tuesday at Leicester and assuming that he takes his chance he can go well, however the nomination resides with Certain Justice. A good case can be made for him from a weights perspective; he is now rated 70 having won off a mark of 82 in the past. The market should help guide to the chances of Stef Liddiard's nine-year-old and with the ground to suit he is fancied to gain his first win of the year. John Akehurst has his horses in fair form and he saddles Torquemada here. A winner two starts back, he will be keen to put an abject performance last time behind him and with the ground fine as long as the rains don't come, he could go well, although all four of his wins have come at Leicester. Cow Girl is fairly consistent but continues to find at least a couple too good, whilst Border Edge needs respect as a course and distance winner but is out of form at present. At a price Trinculo could be a danger from the front, however a shorter trip is ideal, and so we are fairly happy to return to Certain Justice as the selection.
