Verdict

Mganga is recommended with Spent and Miss Clarice the most obvious dangers. Mganga is fairly consistent at this grade and has shown form on esoteric tracks in the past. Ten furlongs may have caught him out previously but his second to Lancaster Lad reads well in the context of this race and he is given another try. Spent took a maiden handicap under a canny Chris Catlin ride last week. The rider gives him a vote of confidence by maintaining the partnership. Miss Clarice is one of two runners from the Brian Meehan yard. An expensive purchase, this does represent something of a drop in sights for all concerned. Bury Treasure has shaped with some ability on the all-weather and is one to note in the market. King Of Cadeaux has a poor draw to work with but is one to note in the market. He has finished as if this trip might suit and looks arguably well treated off what is to all intents and purposes, a plater's mark. Silky Steps is finally being offered a little help from the handicapper after struggling off higher marks. Crueso Cusan is exposed as ordinary but there was a bit to like about her Beverley effort and Sophie Doyle will be able to claim her full 7lbs here. Mganga is our recommendation.
