In depth
Verdict
Amanda Perrett has her string in fine form at present so recent Lingfield winner Blue Tango has to be respected racing off just a 2lb higher mark back on turf but he is probably better on softer ground than we have today and a better bet may be THE HAGUE, who gets the vote with Rocky's Pride looking the pick of the remainder. The selection is trained by David Evans, who continues to have plenty of winners so lack of a recent run need not be of concern for the four-year-old, who ran his best race so far on turf when chasing home Mejala over this trip at Goodwood on his most recent start in June and he has an obvious chance off just a 3lb higher mark today. Evans is also represented by Penang Cinta, who goes on all ground but is probably a shade high in the weights at present. Musashi has run well in his last two starts on the Polytrack but he is probably better on the artificial surfaces and of more interest may be Rocky's Pride, who has been given a chance by the handicapper and will appreciate the underfoot conditions this afternoon. Preference though is for The Hague, who can make a winning reappearance.
