Not the strongest of races and Dark Moon heads the shortlist over Shinko and Never Say Deya. The last named ran the 62-rated Distant Drums to a neck here last time and, considering the co-top weights run off 60 today, the Dansili filly has to be a threat at this level. She has form on all types of ground and looks a reliable option for placepot players to include in the selection process. Shinko picks up a 6lb penalty for winning here last week and is respected from what appears to be a favourable mark. Dean Corby assists with his 3lb claim and a bold bid looks assured. However, Dark Moon has also got the hang of racing of late and, as she gets on really well with Neil Chalmers, this looks an ideal opportunity for the three-year-old to assert her authority in a moderate contest like his.
