        Verdict

        There was plenty to like about the way that Intriguing Glimpse stuck to the task in both her starts this term and, as she has created the impression that her turn is near, she is selected over Imperium, who has more on his plate this time, and Miss Madame, who is difficult to assess having only had one previous start for her current yard. That run came on the all weather at Wolverhampton and although it was an encouraging effort, she has a little to prove over this trip and is probably best watched. So too is Best Force as this daughter of Compton Place has not looked the most resolute of characters when push has come to shove in the past. She also has a fair bit to find with the selection and, as Gerard Butler is yet to send out a winner this turf season, she is not hard to overlook today. Which contrasts the challenge represented by Intriguing Glimpse as she appears to be going from strength to strength and fully deserves to get off the mark for the season if all goes right for her today.
