        Verdict

        Parkside Pursuit dropped another significant hint that he is back to form here eight days ago and gets the nod over his stablemate Tomthevic, who is expected to make sure this is a good test for the rest. Flaran and Dolce Piccata are others with fair claims on the pick of their efforts and can go close again today. Dolce Piccata is being kept busy at the moment and will be having her fourth start of the month. She is consistent and can represent good each-way value today. A similar case can be made for Flaran, although he will be racing off a 5lb higher mark than he was on when he won at Lingfield in June. His last few efforts have suggested that the handicapper is in control and he needs a little luck today. Therefore, we go with Parkside Pursuit, who, like his trainer, is a past master in this sort of grade. Ryan Moore is very much a man to have on your side around Brighton and, as he has won on the selection three time already, we stick with a tried and tested formula in the finale
