In depth
Verdict
A poor race where Second Of May has solid claims at the weights and is just preferred to Deeper in Debt, Temper Tantrum and A Woman In Love - although Fortune Point, who joined his current yard after finishing second in a seller here in July, cannot be ruled out of a bold bid if he bounces back to anything like his best. However, as that is a far from certain scenario, Second Of May, from the foot of the weights, looks to be a much safer option. The selection handles this course well and has no fears with regard to the ground. Which, combined with the fact that he would be giving weight away all round if this were a handicap, make him the one to be on today. The booking of Mickey Fenton is also a positive sign and it take a good effort from any of the rest to overhaul the partnership from what is a very favourable draw.
