Verdict
Another tricky race to get involved in but General Smith has been slowly running back into form and is given another chance today. Pulse, Jahangir and Monte Verde are taken to fight it out for the places. General Smith does need everything to drop right for him in his races, but he is a useful tool at this level. he represents a trainer who is adept at singling out an opportunity for a sprinter and he looks to be the pick of the Bradley trio on the jockey bookings. Pulse is very closely matched with the selection on a line through Cressex Katie, but he is even more notoriously hard to win with and may have to concede second best to his stablemate today. Monte Verde is likely to be a popular choice from the betting ring but this is a lot tougher than the claimer she won at Bath and she may be found out for toe if the gaps appear for General Smith.
