Verdict
A typically trappy Brighton sprint, with several old favourites in opposition. Three times a course and distance winner, Rita's Rock Ape is always worthy of respect here, but she has been done no favours by the draw, while Milton Bradley, who won this last year with Present N' Correct runs three, of whom the pick looks to be Knockemback Nellie, who won off a mark of 50 last year and can race off a 9lb lower mark in this. This looks likely to be fought out by Louis Georgio and the in form Esatto, who met here earlier in the month. There should not be much between them on these revised terms and the latter has certainly been kept busy adding two more races to his tally along the way. He is clearly a progressive horse, but this will be his 7th race this month and a chance is taken with the fresher Louis Georgio, who may just have needed his last outing after a three month break.
