Verdict
Alsadeek, Lodi and Nawaaf are on the shortlist here, with Lodi taken to come out on top. A winner at Thirsk last August, Nawaaff has not shown the same spark since, but as a consequence has slipped down the handicap. After some good runs against good opposition, Alsadeek was made an odds-on favourite on his re-appearance at Ripon, where he disappointed. He can put that effort behind him and go well in this company. Arabian Art, second at Redcar last time, looks one of Henry Cecil's lesser lights, though Lodi, a Kempton winner last season, ran well on his re-appearance to be a decent third in a Lingfield handicap on the Turf. He will be sharper for the outing, and he was not well drawn that day. Lodi can take this.
