Verdict

ROCKY'S PRIDE cannot be sensibly opposed. Gordy Bee could be a sporting option for the forecast ahead of Marsool. Jeremy Noseda has operated at a strike rate of better than one in two at Brighton over the past five years and, whilst we may not get rich following his horses as a result, it's hard to look past his runner here. The son of Rock Of Gibraltar has found one too strong on each start but should have little trouble opening his account at the third time of asking. Rockfella hasn't led his supporters down the road to riches as he's rated just 66 and is looking to break his duck at the ninth attempt; it will be disappointing if he does so. Marsool hails from a yard whose horses are taking their first tentative steps following a quiet spell; the early signs have been encouraging but it would be reasonable to expect him to need this and he's probably best watched. Bolanderi ran on well at Nottingham and will appreciate the step back up in trip; he's not without claims but may be better served by racing in handicaps. Gordy Bee wasn't all that far behind Wingwalker and Delegator on debut and could be useful; the length of his absence is a slight concern but market support would be encouraging. He's the potential fly in the ointment but Rocky's Pride should be able to deliver a knockout blow.
