        Verdict

        There are some interesting newcomers in the field for this maiden auction race including Mr Grinch and I'm Super Too but SAINT SEBASTIAN sets a fair standard, should have no difficulty in handling the cut in the ground being by Captain Rio and he looks the one they all have to beat. Eric Alston's Clever Molly ran much better in a similar contest at Hamilton last month and she would have every chance if able to handle the cut in the ground but she is far from certain to do so. Alan Berry's Lord's Seat stepped up on previous form when third at Carlisle last time but looks booked for place at best as does recent Musselburgh second Pink Lemonade and of more interest may be the newcomers. The Michael Dods-trained Mr Grinch and Alan Swinbank's I'm Super Too look the most interesting of the quartet but Saint Sebastian has an obvious chance and he gets the vote.
