Verdict
Falimar is the pick to foil Snow Dancer's follow-up bid, with Princess Palatine also likely to be in the shake-up. Falimar has had a little break since finishing third to subsequent Sandown winner Madaarek at Beverley in April, and although likely to be stepped up in trip in time, could be good enough here. She is now back among her own sex and does not have too much to beat, so appears to have more going for her than most here. Snow Dancer opened her account in style at Beverley recently, clearly relishing the strong gallop. However, she is higher in the weights now and is not guaranteed to stay the longer trip. Princess Palatine fared badly at Catterick last time and is another about whom there must be stamina doubts. Her stable is in a bit of form now though so she merits a small mention. Golden Topaz may be best watched on her return, although apprentice Jamie Moriarty is firing in the winners, and Amanda Carter is now qualified for handicaps. Vicky Haigh had a rare winner the other night so Noravana may well improve as well, but we are happy to side with Falimar.
