Verdict
Mumgos Debut looked poised to make a race of it with the odds-on Gold Opera at Ayr last month until falling four out. He’ll likely give a bold sight here as well and is a threat to all if staying on his feet. Tomkevi and Freddies Portrait both won their penultimate starts but disappointed last time. Rowdy Rocher’s defeat at Kelso in February came over fences, however, and he shouldn’t be ignored. Calivigny only found the useful Kap Jazz too good here last time so also warrants respect but we’ll give a final chance to CRAFTY ROBERTO. A record of 0-15 over fences is hardly a ringing endorsement but he has been placed eight times and his win over hurdles back in December came off a 3lb higher mark.
