        Verdict

        An ordinary opener in all senses of the description and Ignition is narrowly preferred to Shy Glance and Uhuru Peak. Ignition is no great shakes but is at least in form and has the services of Emily Jones this evening. Any scheduled rain would definitely help the causes of the Mark Brisbourne charge. Shy Glance has dropped a couple of pounds down the handicap and has to be respected. The gelding has been taking on better company than this in the past and couldn't be discounted despite dropping back in trip. Uhuru Peak does not win too often but has gone well at this track in the past and will be ridden by Serena Brotherton. Kabis Amigos has something of a losing run on the turf and has been defeated off similar marks of late. Crafty Fox has only two starts on turf to his name so the market is watched. Gifted Flame refused to race last time out so a watching brief is advised. Able Mind appears best of the rest. Ignition is the preferred option in the opener.
