In depth

Verdict

As usual in these events the market will be all important but the principals look to be Discanti, Zabougg and Elija Pepper and the narrow vote is given to Discanti. The selection was a fair third behind Captain Royale last time out. That form has since been well advertised and with his yard continuing in good form he looks the one to be on. Zabougg rates the main danger as he was a fair fifth on his debut behind Mutabayen despite running green. He is sure to improve and shouls be watched in the market. Elija Pepper ran well on her debut but has since dissapointed so can not be put forward with any confidence. Rievaulx Valentino is another that could go well on his latest second behind Charlotti Carlotti but he has already given the impression he would be suited by a longer trip and he is taken on with this in mind and for the winner we are happy to return to discanti who looks sure to improve.
