In depth

Verdict

Quite a competitive opener here and Walking Talking may provide the answer on this desperate ground, with Man Of Vision, Soldiers Quest and Philanthropy all dangers. The selection was last seen putting up an excellent effort to be third to Heron Bay at Royal Ascot over 1m 4f. Henry Cecil has only given him four runs so far so there is plenty of scope for improvement, he handles soft ground and this looks just the ticket for him. Man Of Vision has not reced on ground anything like as testing as this so far, though his sire Kingmambo did win on soft ground. Howeveer, he has a fair bit to find with the selection on that King George V run and so we oppose. Soldiers Quest has already tasted success over 12 furlongs but flopped in handicap company last time and has a bit to prove here, though he should act on the surface. Stablemate Philanthropy has won on soft ground and looks best of the rest, but Walking Talking is the one for us.
