    Verdict

It's hard to make a decent case for any of these. Blackfoot Brave was still beaten seven lengths when runner-up at Thirsk last time and Cooper was beaten the same distance when placed at Ripon on Monday. Devious Spirit faded badly on his reappearance at Newcastle and steps up in trip along with LEGAL ART. The latter can be forgiven a poor on the Fibresand at Southwell last time and gets a token vote on last year's placed efforts.
