Verdict
Random Harvest may be able to defy topweight on his reappearance, with End of An Error and Cush Jewel in with a chance as well. Mary Reveley's charge is a bit long in the tooth now at the age of 14 but has the edge in experience at a higher level over his six opponents. A winner 10 times in all, only one victory has come over timber, at his favourite course Wetherby, four years ago. That was the last time he was tried over the smaller obstacles in fact, and it will be interesting to see how he shapes up here. The fact is though that he took on top company over fences and his rivals today are definitely not as good. End of An Error is fully 10 years younger than the selection and has the scope to reel off a few more wins in his career. He has been successful three times in his past five starts in fact, and stays three miles no problem. Cush Jewel finally opened his account when beating the more fancied Moscow Leader at Towcester two days ago and if turning out again quickly, may get involved, but in a race that should not take much winning, Random Harvest can defy an absence to score.
