In depth

Verdict

ROLE ON can make amends for a recent spill but he faces a stern examination from Camden George and Quicuyo. Rose Dobbin took a fall from the grey at the second fence last time out but he had won the time before and provided that he can put up a clear round, he has obvious claims. Camden George is proven with plenty of give underfoot and has the obvious edge of match fitness. He didn't do too much wrong at Wetherby on his latest start. Stumped finished behind Role On when the pair met at Carlisle earlier in the season. He now enjoys a 5lb pull at todays weights for a neck beating. Masafi is unproven in conditions as testing as this. The presence of the champion jockey aboard Rapid Increase should ensure his popularity in the betting beforehand. Role On gets the verdict in a race where there are likely to be plenty of future winners emerging.
