Verdict

HEAVEN SCENT was beaten only a neck in heavy going at Sedgefield last time but recorded last year’s success on fast ground. Donald McCain’s filly can go one better in this with today’s conditional taking 8lb off her back. Arabian Oasis was disappointing at Perth a fortnight ago having escaped a penalty for winning one of these events at Market Rasen before that. But he still looks best of the remainder given Present Trend has struggled off higher marks since winning at Worcester in September and Onlyfoolsownhorses was still beaten a long way when third over track and trip last time.
