In depth

Verdict

MOTAHASSEN can land a third Turf success. He arrives in excellent form after a smooth success at Haydock on Friday, handles forecast heavy ground and is the only course and distance winner on show. His young apprentice was in the plate at Haydock and the combination can strike again. Mr Carbonator should prove competitive but the feeling is that the handicapper has him in his grip at present, although this is not a strong race and he ought to be in the mix. Spirit Of Sarwan hasn't won since February 2017 but ran well the last day and Sean Davis' 5lb claim will be valuable, especially on heavy ground. Check out winning hurdler Millie The Minx on this return to Turf as she may prove attractively weighted.
