Pauls Plain can land this at the expense of Rocknest Island and My Portfolio. The selection made a winning start for new trainer Tim Vaughan when getting the better of She's Humble at Fontwell on Saturday and now carries a penalty for his troubles. Connections are keen to run before the handicapper makes his play so he should be able to follow up on his earlier success without any trouble. Rocknest Island proved that he was in fine fettle when finishing second to Border Tale at Market Rasen last time out. That was an improved performance and he can run well again if repeating that form. My Portfolio catches the eye as he travells form Ireland and his trainer has had success throught the summer months over here. His Irish form is difficult to asses but his domestic form does not look good enough. having said that any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to Pauls Plain.
