In depth

Verdict

Ed Bethell should find a race this season for Irish import Bright Blue. Eight Of Diamonds looks a threat to all as he hasn’t been beaten far in two runs on Turf since winning over this trip on Polytrack while At Liberty has placed the last twice and was also well backed last time. BELLE OF ANNANDALE (NAP) deserves a change of luck having been narrowly beaten at Musselburgh and Thirsk last month. She’s gone up a further pound but still gets the nod. Red Astaire is a half-brother to five winners and should stay this trip on breeding but has been a slow learner.
