      Verdict

      VERREAUX EAGLE didn’t look an easy ride dropped to this trip at Wolverhampton but wasn’t beaten far. The winner finished fourth off a mark of 80 at York on Friday so the form looks decent. Masquerading is a half-sister to a couple of winners and cost £90,000 as a yearling so rates a danger but Mecca's Diamond only cost a fraction of that, though is out of a 7f winner.
