In depth

Verdict

CHANSON D’AMOUR took a big step forward upped to this trip at Windsor and may be the answer to a modest opener ahead of Chelmsford runner-up Little Prayer, though the latter is partnered by Hayley Turner who is riding well at present. Marco Botti had a welcome winner over weekend and Sandie's Dream might be better than her bare form suggests given she’s been slowly away in both starts to date while Deadly Weapon must have been showing something at home before disappointing at Kempton. Roystan Girl was only fifth at Goodwood on Friday but that was a better race than this.
