          Verdict

          A modest handicap which won’t take much winning. The tentative choice is MISS MATTERHORN, who was just half-a-length behind Boy George at Brighton last month and is a pound better off. The latter also goes on the shortlist and Air Of York is usually thereabouts in this lowly grade while Oot Ma Way is relatively unexposed. Smokey Malone and Flower Of Thunder are others to consider but a bigger danger may be Turn Of Phrase, who was only beaten half-a-length over track and trip off this mark on Thursday.
