In depth

Verdict

Calliope hasn’t been doing a lot wrong but the handicapper is still playing catch-up with his stablemate THE NAVIGATOR (NAP), who shouldn’t be denied in his hat-trick bid before being upped in grade. Dianne Sayer’s grey was a much-improved performer on the Flat this year. Travel Lightly has also won on the Flat this year and isn’t badly treated back over timber with Wakool, Sarasota Star and Nefyn Point likely to be scrapping for places.
